What you need to know about me

CoachTroy: Henderson, NV, United States; I'm one of those guys who used fitness to change my life. In 2001 I turned 40. At 275 lbs I was fat, unhappy & unhealthy. I battled depression, PTSD, drank too much & smoked. I had 3 small children and a conviction that they deserved more than I was giving. So, I replaced the cocktails and cigars with workouts and recovery drinks. I needed a goal. I picked the hardest thing I could think of...a triathlon. I queued up for my 1st race with one lofty goal...finish. 600 yds into an 800 yd swim I thought I was going to die. Too proud(too tired) to call out for assistance I resigned to slip quietly below the surface and spare myself the embarassment of the dread DNF (did not finish) But, I didn't quit, somehow I finished the race. By the time I pulled into my driveway that morning I resolved to do better next time. That was 6 yrs and 25 races ago. Today I'm nationally ranked and 800 yds is a warm up. The sport of Triathlon has been very good to me. Now my goal is to share the empowering gift of fitness with every man, woman and child in America. Change your body change your life. You CAN do it and I'm going to help you.
